A unique olfactory landscape encounters a mysterious, elusive and poetic femininity.
The Peau de Soie Candle Refill by Starck is the result of the elegance of the Peau de Soie body fragrance imagined by Philippe Starck, combined with the expertise of Maison Berger Paris, which has created a home fragrance version. Its composition, with the powdery scents of violet and iris, and the zesty aroma of bergamot, highlighted by musky and woody notes, evokes the female figure in all its mystery, its paradox and its contrasts. The Peau de Soie Candle Refill by Starck expresses itself fully when placed in a Maison Berger Paris Tealight Candle Holder by Starck.
Peau de Soie is a paradox, that of a fragrance whose femininity is unveiled around a man’s heart. A feminine/masculine contrast, a game of seduction of raw materials: cherry and violet come together faced with modern aromatic notes to then harmonise on a woody and chypre base.
- Top note Cherry, Bergamot, Violet
- Heart note Orris, Aromatic Notes, White Musk
- Base note Musk, Patchouli, Cyprussy notes
The designer :Philippe Starck
For his first collaboration with Maison Berger Paris, the designer Philippe Starck has imagined a laboratory of nine objects, inspired by the intelligence of science and the emotion of perfume, going back to the origins of the brand founded by the pharmacist Maurice Berger, inventor of the famous Lampe Berger. Philippe Starck, who makes everyday objects iconic, has designed a collection for Maison Berger Paris with pure and timeless lines.

Their story begins at the end of the 19th century, in 1898 to be precise, when Maurice Berger invented a catalytic diffusion system to purify hospital air. In the 1930s, his little lamp found its way into many interiors and became a pure object of pleasure, a piece that people didn’t hesitate to collect. More than 100 years after its first appearance, it remains the most famous home fragrance in the world! Under the name of Maison Berger Paris, they are writing a new page in their history. They chose this name because it better reflects the diversity of their creations. Indeed, while the famous lamp Berger has become their emblematic reference, it is not the only product they offer. With this new name, they are keeping their origins while highlighting their expertise and the other pieces in their collection. From lamps and candles to bouquets, car diffusers, mist diffusers and refills, you can discover their world and treat yourself by ordering their creations.
